Founder of Illuma Accessibility

After suffering from a mini stroke in 2019 that left her with less than 5% vision, Jaclyn Pope faced the challenge of living with multiple eye diseases, including Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, and Cataracts, which she was diagnosed with in 2017.

Instead of giving up, Jaclyn decided to pursue her dream of becoming a full-stack developer to make apps and platforms more accessible for everyone.

Jaclyn is a representative on the Canadian Council of the Blind National Board.

She is a proud supporter of:

  • Canadian Council of the Blind
